When someone curses you

Bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven.'
  (Matthew 5:44-45)

That seems to go against anything we may feel like at times, so let me say it like it means.

We live in a world of madness and hate where violence and deception at every level of society surrounds every one of us daily.

Have you ever walked past someone who  muttered something to you, but you could not quite make out what it was they said? I also have on many ocassions. Just their eyes told you that it wasn't very nice, for the eyes are indeed the window to the soul. And those eyes can appear very dark, with even greater darkness lurking behind them.

During the 'covid' evil, perpetraded by deceiving spirits and wicked people, I noted the darkness in the eyes of those leaders and so-called 'experts' on television who drove fear and terror into the hearts and minds of billions of the world population. That darkness gave the game away to anyone who could perceive what they were doing. (Get a copy of my book, 'The Real War of the Worlds', if you want to know more.)

People from violent religions and occult backgrounds often use their tongues to mutter and utter curses at those who they do no like, or toward those who they see as an opposition to their brand of religion. It happens every day all around our towns and cities. It comes from foul spirits and demons that multitudes are controlled by or possessed by. They may be quite unaware of this themselves, but the light in you, the love in you, the hope you have is something that the enemy of Believers hates, and so they are stirred up to speak spiteful words and curses.

The wonderful thing is (if you are a true Believer in Jesus Christ), their words and curses can have no power over you, because you are blessed of God and under the protection of the blood of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "I give you authority (judicial authority) over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."  (Luke 10:19) This is a wonderful promise of God and also includes that you also have the right and privilege to use the name of Jesus to overcome all the negative words spoken against you and to make them ineffective, and even return to where they came from.

Now, to bless the person who sought to curse you with their words, or who were spiteful and nasty toward you, does seem quite the opposite to what we naturally think to do to them. But Jesus went on to say that if we would be like our heavenly Father who shines his sun on both the good and the absolutely wretched, and sends refreshing rain upon the upright and also the wicked, then we also should bless even those who seek to do us wrong. When we do that, we overcome the evil and actually cause the curses meant for us to go right past us and return to the pit from where they came.

If you are concerned that someone who cursed you might have some impact upon your life, then simply declare out loud what the Bible says:

"According to Luke 10:19, Jesus has given me authority over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me! And according to Revelation chapter 12:11, I overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus King of kings and Lord of lords), and by my open confession that He died for me and rose again, and has given me eternal life, and nothing can take me out of His hand: and my life belongs to Him. I bless those who curse me, and I forgive those who have hurt me. In the name of Jesus."

If it was a 'Christian' who cursed you, then that person is not a true Believer, or a Believer who does not yet know their Bible, for the Bible tells us not to curse, but to bless.
